E. Patrick Johnson, Carlos Montezuma Professor of Performance Studies and African American Studies at Northwestern University, presents a lecture/performance exploring the oral histories of black Southern women who desire women. Johnson will discuss the methodological challenges of being a man conducting research on women, and will perform excerpts from the oral histories.
